The Costa Azahar runs south from the Costa Dorada to Valencia. It belongs to the autonomous region of Valencia and includes the area of Castellon. It is very popular with Spanish tourists. Valencia has an international airport and the A 7 toll motorway serves the whole of the Costa. There are mile after mile of wide sandy beaches with just inland being given over to vineyards and citrus orchards. There are a number of yacht clubs and marinas dotted along the coast and it is an area of regattas and sailing in general, with Valencia also having been selected for the 2007 America’s Cup yacht race. Valencia is Spain’s third largest city and offers are variety of historic buildings, churches, museums, as well as theatres and cinemas. Sport of every description is available in the area.
